How to Get Longer and Thicker Eyelashes

Kylie

A dab of coconut oil from your pantry can help strengthen, thicken and encourage longer eyelashes.

A few weeks ago, I noticed that I was missing a little clump of lashes on my left eye. Right in the middle, grrr. It has happened before (I have no idea why!), but this time I decided to try something I saw on Pinterest.

Coconut oil for longer lashes

People have been using virgin coconut oil on their hair and skin for ages. Studies show that coconut oil helps prevent and repair protein loss in hair follicles. Reducing protein loss means thicker, longer hair, including eyelashes.

How to use coconut oil for eyelashes

All you need to do is rub a teeny dab of coconut oil onto your lashes daily. Night time may be the easiest, since the coconut oil may interfere with makeup during the day.

My results

I rubbed a teeny dab of coconut oil on my eyelids/eyelashes every night for two weeks. I didn’t think that I would notice that big of a difference (well, honestly, I doubted it would make any difference!) so I didn’t take a “before” picture. Total newbie blogger mistake! haha

But after about a week, I noticed that the bald spot had filled in, and my lashes were indeed getting thicker and longer! After two weeks, I’m a believer! Coconut oil really does make your lashes thicker and longer! Its not a crazy dramatic difference, but enough that I’m going to keep doing it.

I would love for you to try it too, and let me know how it goes!

Did you do the mixture that is on that blog post, or just coconut oil?

I was skeptical of this tip but willing to try it. I have always had very thin blonde eyelashes and even with mascara they were hard to see. Within a week I noticed quite a difference. I have been doing this daily since I started and found that my eye lashes looking full after mascara instead of skimpy. The results are much like a brush on product I used years ago but couldn't keep up with the expense. Not only am I grateful for my luscious new eye lashes but my eyeballs don't feel dried out all the time. Thank for passing on the tip. RMC
