I’ve tried doing other chignon styles that I’ve seen on Pinterest (follow me!), but they never turn out right! My hair is so thick, bobby pins just don’t always do the job. I found an easy way to do a low, versatile chignon, without bobby pins!
Start by putting in a low ponytail, but don’t pull it through the last time. Leave a little loop.
Then split the “tail” in half. Twist one half and wrap it up and around your ponytail.
Tuck it into the elastic band. Depending on your hair length/thickness, it could end up underneath or on top. If your hair is really layered, the ends might poke out more, but that’s ok, it is just a more casual look.
Do the same thing to the other side, but going the opposite direction.
Tuck it in.
DONE!
PS. Its ridiculous how hard it is to get these pictures to show my actual hair and skin color. No, my hair isn’t green, and no my skin isn’t sunburned!

Cute! I have problems with bobbypins too. They slip right out of my hair!
