Getting a great deal at Carter’s is easier than you think!
Carter’s is my favorite place to get clothes for my baby/toddler/preschooler/little kid. Their stuff is well made, and the styles are sweet and age appropriate, just the right amount of trendy. I’m totally addicted to buying kids clothes! I have two little girls, and no less than 9 full bins of clothes for them!
Needless to say, I have perfected the art of getting a great deal at Carter’s stores and outlets. I have never paid full price for anything there, and have bought outfits for as low as 97 cents! They changed a few of their coupon policies to prevent getting stuff that cheap anymore, but you can still get a great deal. Its easy, here’s what you need to do:
How to get a great deal at Carter’s:
Subscribe to Carter’s emails so you can be notified of current deals, and receive coupons. Carter’s almost always has a current coupon for 20% off when you spend $50. And you don’t even have to print it, just show them the email on your phone and they can type in the code or scan it. You can also do a quick Google search and find a coupon that way too.
Next time you’re at the store, ask for coupons to be mailed to you. Carter’s mails higher value coupons (like 25% or 30% off when you spend $40, or sometimes a free $10 off any purchase) to reward frequent customers. You can also check Carter’s current coupon policy.
At the store, you will notice that almost everything is on some sort of sale, from 25% to 70% off original prices, depending on the season and how new each “line” is. They also usually have a couple clearance racks with items between $3.99 and $9.99. A few times a year, Carter’s will do an “additional 30% off clearance” sale. Those are the best days to go!
On Wednesdays, grandparents get 10% off (including clearance!), so if you shop with your mom or mother-in-law, ask her to make the purchase and pay her back. You may need to specifically ask for the discount, but its legit!
Carter’s also has their Rewarding Moments program where you get $10 off for every $100 you spend. Once you create your account, you can accrue points in store or online. Also make sure to add you and your kid’s birthdays on your account, so that you can receive additional rewards/coupons during your birthday months.
How to stack the deals
So the way to get the best prices is to stack as many deals as you can. Go on a Wednesday with your mom, and pick out items that are 50-70% off. Always use a coupon to get at least 20% off your total. And keep accruing Rewarding Moments points, and then use the $10 off with a 20% off coupon to get stuff crazy cheap when you spend $50!

In my experience, the cashiers are very nice about helping you figure out how to maximize your deal. If you’re not sure about how much you need to spend in order to use your coupons, just ask!
Also! Remember to keep your receipts, and if you shop regularly and notice that the price has dropped on an item you purchased within 2 weeks ago, a cashier will give you the difference.
PS I wasn’t paid by Carters to write this article, although I wish they did. The deals and promotions are from my own experience and are as of today’s date.
